East Brunswick Brownie Troop #116
Are Stars with Our Cats

You are the Cats Meow!!!

The East Brunswick Brownie Troop #116 of the Delaware-Raritan Council are tops with Communities Altering The Strays (CATS). Lead by Maria Sapia and Hali Figueroa, the brownie troop has been working hard to make homeless cats happy with Operation Happy Socks. The 18 brownies took old socks which were donated to them and made them into safe and fun cat toys for homeless cats. The troop donated about 200 socks to CATS.

We give a special shoutout to each of the brownies for their dedication and hard work: Abbie, Alexis, Ashlee, Camryn, Cassandra, Cemre, Courtney, Diya, Dominique, Jessica, Julianna, Kelly, Kristina, Meret, Mia, Sabrina, Sandra, and Zoe.

The brownie troop needs more donated socks to help other homeless cats. If you want to donate some socks, please make sure they are freshly washed. Sweat socks and fuzzy socks are perfect for this project. Any size socks are welcome, even socks with holes. Thin synthetics or nylon socks won't be durable or safe for the cats. The troop could also use polyester fill and kitty-grade catnip. You can email Maria Sapia at mgsapia@aol.com with questions about donations or you can drop off donations at GS Council, 108 Church Lane, East Brunswick, NJ 08816.
